Apply for Free School Meals at St Matthew’s Catholic Primary School
The Free School Meals programme allows parents who are in receipt of certain benefits to having free meals (And other costs) covered by the school by allocating extra funding. Is there an issue with eligible pupils not applying for FSM?
Yes. Even though a lot of our children may be eligible for Universal Infant Free School Meal (UIFSM) the school will receive extra money from an application for FSM. If you are eligible to any of the following benefits than please contact the school office or contact the Free School Meal department at Northumberland Council on 01670 620444.
The eligible benefits are:
Income Support (IS)
Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
An income-related employment and support allowance
Support under part IV of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
Child Tax Credit (without Working Tax Credit)
If you are entitled to any of these benefits please get in touch as we are not notified by the Local Authority automatically.
