Absence during term time for holidays should not normally occur. All requests must be made in writing via the leave of absence form, in advance, to the Headteacher. The Head Teacher will then review each request, and consider the circumstances stated. Only in exceptional circumstances will the school agree to an extended holiday absence.
If a holiday is taken without the Headteacher’s permission, or if it extends beyond an agreed period, the absence will be entered on the register as ‘unauthorised’. Penalty notices may also be issued.
