Making choices about your child’s education can be challenging with so many factors to weigh up during the decision making process.  When the time does come for your child to move on from St. Matthew’s, you can rest assured that we will actively support your choice and endeavour to work closely with your child’s next school to ensure a seamless transition.  

The vast majority of our children remain with us until the end of Year 6 when they leave to go to St. Thomas More Catholic School in Blaydon. Over the years, we have established fantastic links with the school and if you choose for your child to go here, they will remain in our Bishop Wilkinson family of schools.  

Every year, a few children leave us at the end of Year 4 to go on to Highfield Middle School.  Again, we enjoy a very good relationship with our neighbours across the car park and we work closely with the school throughout the transition programme in the summer term of Year 4.
