Music plays a huge part of our lives at St. Matthew’s.  Our children are welcomed into school each morning by a soundtrack to suit the mood of the day, and from that point, they are provided with a music curriculum designed to inspire a deep appreciation of all kinds of music.  

We use Kapow! to structure our music curriculum; however, we also work closely with Music Partnership North to offer a whole host of instrumental and vocal tuition opportunities.  

Pupils at St. Matthew’s can choose from a whole host of instruments to enhance and expand their musical knowledge.  Currently, we have tutors come into school who can offer: violin, flute, clarinet, trumpet, pocket trumpet, euphonium and french horn.
