Below is an overview of what we will learn this year.
Regular updates and class stories will be uploaded to class dojo.

Mrs K Curry
Mrs Curry- Class teacher, PE, Art/DT, ICT coordinator
Mrs O’Reilly – Our Class 1 teaching assistant.
In class 1 your child will be provided with weekly spellings to learn. Maths homework will also be sent home which will consolidate what your child has been learning during their maths lessons. On occasion your child may also have a project to do at home linking to topics that we are studying in class.
As part of our study of RWI phonics, your child will read daily in class to their teacher, themselves and their peers. Weekly phonics reading books will be sent home to consolidate sounds that we have been learning and your child will also bring a library book home to share with their family, which they have chosen from our class library. Books will be changed every Friday.
Pleas ensure that your child has their PE kits in school at all times, to enable them to participate in their 2X1 hour weekly PE lessons. During the autumn and spring term please ensure that your child has outdoor PE kits in school, including suitable footwear.
You can find out what we have been up to in class 1 on class dojo, where class stories and pictures will be upload frequently. Class dojo can also be used for general messages and information.
